Base Camp - October 14 - 17, 2010
In climbing, it's the starting point in pursuing the peak of a mountain.
In life, it's the starting point in pursuing what piques your heart.
It's not a rally or a program or a concert.
It's not another list of do's and don'ts.
It's not another problem for you to fix or another project to take on.
It's about your heart.
Expedition of the Heart: BASE CAMP is a four-day quest into the recovery of your heart, closely patterned after the book Wild at Heart by John Eldredge.
According to New England native Henry David Thoreau "The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation.
What is called resignation is confirmed desperation." We have lost heart.
We believe that in order for a man to get his heart back, he's got to take a journey; one that involves risk, danger, and a point of no return. This is not something that can be done amidst all the distractions of daily life – to truly explore these depths we must follow the example of Jesus and get away to spend time alone with the Father.
BASE CAMP is the beginning of that journey.
Thursday, October 14th, 2010. Check-in is from 4-6PM. Dinner is served at 6PM and the first session begins at 7PM. The weekend concludes Sunday, October 17th at lunch.
Located at the ranch style Barbara Harris Conference Center in Greenfield, New Hampshire.
Due to the intimate and personal nature of the content, BASE CAMP should not be viewed as a father
and son event. We highly encourage fathers and sons to attend separate events if possible. You must
be at least 18 years of age to attend. If you have questions concerning this please contact us to
discuss your situation.
